Welcome to Loughborough, a vibrant town in the county of Leicestershire with a population of around 60,000 and excellent shopping facilities with hundreds of shops and a lively cafe, bar and restaurant culture. But Loughborough also offers much in the way of culture and heritage as its ancient past can be discerned from its architecture, with numerous buildings that span many centuries. Today, Loughborough is perhaps best known for its internationally acclaimed university, Loughborough University.

The Student Union organises various events, and the busiest days are usually Wednesdays and Fridays when there might be up to 4000 people in attendance.
